Blueberries are one of the best berries that you can add to your diet and this smoothie makes it easy to include them.

Simply blend these up along with your favourite protein powder and a few added ingredients for taste and enhanced nutrition and you’ll be all set.

Blueberries are rich in fibre, relatively low in sugar and contain a powerful source of antioxidants as well.

This recipe calls for almond milk, however you can use cow’s milk if you prefer.

Just do be aware that there is natural lactose sugar in milk, so this will increase your overall sugar consumption.

Finally, feel free to add extra greens to this smoothie if desired.

The spinach added in will pack a wealth of nutrition including vitamin K, A, C, and E along with zinc, iron, and calcium.

Creamy Cucumber Blueberry Smoothie

1 scoop vanilla protein
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 handful spinach leaves
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
½ tsp. xanthan gum
1-2 ice cubes

Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse blend until desired consistency is reached. Serve immediately.
