Hindu Squat Exercise

Hindu squats are a perfect exercise for loosening up the body, relieving back pain, and getting yourself warmed up to begin your workout.

Do these at the start of your workout or anytime you simply need to get your body moving and your blood flowing.

Hindu Squat How To

  • Start standing with the arms pulled behind you, parallel to the ground. Feet should be hip width apart.
  • Breath in and then begin to exhale as you swing the arms back behind you and down while bending the knees. Your body should bend over as you do this and you are to sweep your arms down beneath you and into the front as they rotate around.
  • Rise into the standing position again to complete the rep.
  • Continue until all reps are completed.

Form and Technique

While doing this exercise, make sure to focus on your breathing as this is key to reaping the benefits.

Exhale forcefully as you begin bending the knees and back to push all the air out of the body.

Variations:   Bodyweight Squats

Routine for Strength:  5 sets x AMRAP (30 secs rest between sets)
