This Pina Colada smoothie uses banana flavoured protein powder to bring up the protein content while giving you that delicious banana taste you love without having to use as much pure banana.
This allows you to keep the sugar and calorie content of the smoothie in check.
To that we’ve added some dried unsweetened coconut flakes, which will deliver a healthy dose of fat and long lasting energy.
Finally, you’ll finish off with some frozen pineapple to bring texture to the smoothie and complete the taste.
The xanthan gum is also included to help thicken the smoothie, giving it that milkshake-like consistency you’ll love.

Pina Colada Smoothie
1 scoop banana flavoured protein powder
1 cup almond milk
½ frozen banana
½ cup regular or frozen pineapple
1 tbsp. unsweetened dried coconut
½ tsp. xanthan gum
1-2 ice cubes
Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse blend until desired consistency is reached. Serve immediately.
