Barbell lunges are an exercise that will help you develop a strong lower body and improved stamina.

The additional of the barbell will add greater resistance during the exercise, ideal for building strength and size in the quads.
Barbell Lunges How To
- Start standing with the barbell placed across the shoulders, core tight.
- Take one step forward about two or three feet and then begin to bend both knees as you lunge down.
- Press back up into the standing position until both knees are straightened.
- Continue until all reps are completed. Once finished, switch sides and repeat.
Form and Technique
While doing this exercise, focus on keeping the head up to prevent a lean in the upper body.
Also watch that the knees move directly over the toes and not to either side of the body.
